Something happens when Trackers hit the road in Natchez, Mississippi to begin the Old South tour. Homes are no longer big, they’re majestic, history isn’t just found in a book, it’s alive among the rolling hills, and southern charm isn’t old-fashioned, it’s the way of life, even in the big cities.
If you’re looking to slow life down a bit and wander through cities where giant oaks sprawl over the streets and Antebellum homes are nestled in between blooming dogwoods, the Tracks, 31-day Old South tour is your answer.
Includes: in Georgia: Savannah. In South Carolina: Myrtle Beach show and parking by the beach, In Virginia: Colonial Williamsburg, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Blue Ridge Mountains. In Pennsylvania: Gettysburg. In Washington, D.C.: monuments for the extraordinary people and events of our nation’s history, 57 tours and events, 10 meals, and standard Tracks services. Total driving miles 2,169.
Recent enhancements: Substantial upgrades to our popular, 31-day Old South tour were applied to the tour which ran in May of this year, 2010, and received rave reviews from participating Trackers. The tour now commences in the beautiful, old, Deep South, antebellum city of Natchez, Mississippi. New stops include Elvis Presley’s birthplace, Tupelo, Mississippi and the city where he built his now famous Graceland estate, Memphis, Tennessee. A visit to our nation’s capital has been enhanced with a nighttime tour. “Warning! This will cause your jaw to drop! Washington, DC by night with its illuminated monuments twinkling above the sparkling Potomac River is a spectacular, never-to-be-forgotten sight. Every American should put this on the top of his or her “’Travel Wish List.’” You'll be proud to be an American!
